PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Problem: Following an injury, or when individuals try to ice/heat a sore body part, it can be difficult or clumsy to apply the ice/heat pack and cover the precise area of concern while simultaneously holding the ice in place. In addition, it is important to maintain compression on and around the area of concern, both during and after the ice treatment. Various cold/heat systems that currently exist either provide a specific restricted application for limited areas of the body, are expensive, limit mobility or have limited cooling time and require an additional layer of protection under an ice pack. Individuals often must simultaneously treat more than one soft tissue area within close proximity. As a result, the individual cannot treat the entirety of the injured area because the damaged soft tissue extends beyond the size of the application, design, and/or pocket in the wrap.
Purpose/Solution: A compression sleeve for the application of ice and heat therapy that includes an inner and outer layer. The inner layer compression, composed of a poly fabric, provides both a firmness for swelling control and a protective insulation layer between modality and skin. The outer compression layer is stretch-fitted to provide a body-hugging layer that anchors the ice and/or heat modality in place. Both layers are open at the top for an unrestricted insertion of the ice and/or heat anywhere around the desired area.
An added benefit the ICE-olate Plus offers is mobility. Individuals can walk, bike, and complete household activities while effectively applying ice/heat therapy.
MATERIAL INFORMATION
Patented Design: A two layer, “smart” design, allows for unlimited and unrestricted adjustability of ice or heat locations. The design targets multiple locations simultaneously within the compartment spanning the entire sleeve.
Layered Garment: The outer layer “clamping” force of the compression garment allows the individual mobility without disturbing the precision of treatment. The water-wicking, outer compression layer prevents leakage during therapy. It’s stretch-fitted to provide a body-hugging layer that anchors the ice or heat in place
Safe & Limitless: The inner layer of fabric provides a compression on the injured area and a layer of protection between the ice and skin. The inner layer also provides a smooth sliding entry for the ice or heat application.
